Rain X replacement wiper blades August 22, 2010 G. Taylor These blades are excellent. The old ones I had just streaked and smeared. The next blades I buy will definitely be Latitude blades.
Working great on 3 vehicles August 22, 2010 Jim Smith (New England, MA) I have been using the Latitude on three vehicles in Northern New England the past few years: 2007 Camry, 2008 Ford Fusion and 2004 Honda Pilot. I have read the reviews and very confused why some people are having poor performance with these wipers. They do cost more but in my opinion, well worth it if bought on Amazon. Work very well, especially in the winter. The one piece design does not allow ice or snow affect its performance. I highly recommend when installing that you read the instructions and make sure you are mounting them with the proper adapter onto the wiper arm. Three adapters are provided. I would find it difficult to believe that someone would leave the almost clear blade protector on the wipers but make sure you remove it. Any wiper should perform well and if you haven't tried a glass treatment yet, I would because this is what really makes a difference. I use the Rain-x glass treatment and the first few weeks after application you will almost not need to use your wipers.

Reading some of the other reviews, I think some people are installing these incorrectly. The symptoms they describe sound like the first set I bought, which was for my girlfriend's 2008 Nissan Rogue. When I installed the driver's side wiper (the longer of the two) it didn't make good contact with the windshield and would have left huge streaks. There is a way to adjust how the wiper sits by fiddling with the mount. Once I did that (per the included instructions), it worked like a champ. I just put a pair on my 2010 Xterra, and didn't have to do anything special...they worked great from the start. It sometimes pays to read the instructions.
As far as the blades scratching the windshield, the only thing I can think of that would cause that to happen is if they forgot to take the plastic cover off the blade. I can't see how someone might do that, but the blade itself is pretty flexible, so I have no idea how it could scratch auto glass.
For me, these have been great, and the price on Amazon is very reasonable. I think I saved about $6 per blade by not getting them at the local auto parts store. I think this should be one of the items that Amazon lets you "Subscribe" to, so you could have them delivered every six months or so. That would certainly help me to remember to change my wiper blades!
Uneven pressure, scratches winshield May 31, 2010 William Ng I have been using the bosch icon and evolution for 2 years. One pair of them would usually last 8 months more or less.
But then I decided to try the rainX, and after 2 months I started to notice a 1.5 inch wide line in my windshield At first I tought it was the aquapel I applied 4 momnths ago that was starting to "peel off" but after applying another aquapel bar I realized the glass was scratched, is not very deep but visible and annoying when driving at night.
The rainX wipers applies uneven pressure on the windshield.
Never had this problem with bosch wipers
Great wiper and it looks nice too. April 19, 2010 Rodney Reynolds (Ohio USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I put these Latitude wipers on both of our vehicles recently (2009 Ford Fusion and 2004 E350 - 15 Passenger Van). These wipers were very easy to install. The necessary mechanism was already connected, so it only required removing the old blades, and then sliding these onto the hooks. These wipers look impressive, as they have a wider body than many wipers, and the blade is centered which gives it a great look on your windshield.
We have had a couple of pretty hard rain events since I installed these, and they performed great. They move smoothly across the windshield, with no annoying sounds. I'm not an expert on windshield wipers, but my experience has been better so far with these, than with any other blade I have ever used. These blades do cost more than some of the other blades you can buy, but so far I think they are worth the purchase price.
I'm very happy, after about a month of using these on two vehicles.
